AI helps us organize and explain information. It is not the source, and it is not an authority.
Where AI may be used
- Summarizing saved information from identified sources, such as agency updates.
- Explaining an article or video you choose, in plain language.
- Connecting a story to what it could mean locally — only when the evidence supports it.
What we design for
- Ground explanations in available source information.
- Keep important uncertainty instead of smoothing it away.
- Label AI-assisted explanations and keep the original source accessible.
- Say when there isn't enough information, rather than guessing.
What AI is not
AI outputs are not always accurate. An AI explanation never replaces the original source, and HyLoQ does not present AI as an independent authority. Please check the original source before relying on any explanation for an important decision.
