Question 1

What is HyLoQ?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ is a platform designed to help people understand what is happening around them. It brings together information about resources, prices, businesses, public services, communities, and other conditions that can affect everyday life. HyLoQ is being built around two complementary intelligences: Resource Intelligence and Civic Intelligence.

Question 2

Why does HyLoQ exist?

Accepted Answer

Information about prices, resources, public services and communities is often scattered and hard to connect to everyday decisions. HyLoQ is being built to help people see what is happening, understand why it matters, and explore what they can watch or do next.

Question 3

What are HyLoQ's two intelligences?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ is being built around two complementary intelligence platforms. Resource Intelligence helps people see what's happening with prices, products, businesses, and resources. Civic Intelligence helps people see what's happening with public services and their community. Each has its own platform experience, while both share HyLoQ's broader commitment to understandable, transparent information.

Question 4

What is Resource Intelligence?

Accepted Answer

Resource Intelligence helps people understand what is happening with prices, products, businesses, resources, supply, demand, and related conditions. It is a dedicated HyLoQ platform with its own tools and intelligence features.

Question 5

What is Civic Intelligence?

Accepted Answer

Civic Intelligence is being developed to help people understand what is happening with public services, communities, public information, and other conditions that affect civic life. It is a separate intelligence platform within HyLoQ.

Question 6

Why does HyLoQ have two intelligences?

Accepted Answer

Everyday life does not separate resource conditions from civic conditions. Prices, resources, infrastructure, public services, businesses, households, and communities can intersect. HyLoQ's two intelligences provide different perspectives while allowing the broader platform to connect information where appropriate.

Question 7

Where does HyLoQ get its information?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ uses information from identified sources, including official government agencies, public institutions, research organizations, credible publications, and appropriately attributed community information. Where possible, HyLoQ shows the original source so you can verify the information yourself.

Question 8

Does HyLoQ replace official sources?

Accepted Answer

No. HyLoQ organizes, connects, and explains information. The original organization or institution remains the source of the underlying information. You should be able to access the original source whenever appropriate.

Question 9

Can HyLoQ be wrong?

Accepted Answer

Information can be incomplete, delayed, estimated, changing, or uncertain. HyLoQ is designed to communicate those limitations rather than present every piece of information as certain. Where appropriate, HyLoQ identifies whether information is observed, reported, estimated, projected, or otherwise uncertain.

Question 10

How does HyLoQ use AI?

Accepted Answer

Some HyLoQ features may use AI to help organize, summarize, explain, or connect information. AI is used as an assistance and interpretation layer, not as an independent authority. HyLoQ aims to preserve important context and uncertainty and make the original source accessible.

Question 11

Can people contribute information?

Accepted Answer

Some HyLoQ experiences may allow people to contribute observations or other information. Community contributions are kept distinct from official information and may have different verification statuses.

Question 12

How does HyLoQ protect my information?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ is designed to collect and use information responsibly, minimize unnecessary personal information, and apply appropriate privacy and security controls.

Question 13

How can I report an issue?

Accepted Answer

If information shown by HyLoQ looks outdated, incomplete, or incorrect, you can tell us. We review reports, though not every report leads to a change.

Question 14

Is HyLoQ a government platform?

Accepted Answer

No. HyLoQ is an independent platform that can use information published by government agencies and other credible sources. Government information remains attributed to its original source.

Question 15

Is HyLoQ a news website?

Accepted Answer

Not primarily. HyLoQ may surface important articles, reports, videos, studies, and official information through features such as HyLoQ Explains. Its purpose is to help people understand information and its context rather than simply provide a news feed.

Question 16

What is available now?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ's available features depend on the intelligence platform and stage of development. Resource Intelligence already provides its established platform experience. Civic Intelligence is being developed as a separate intelligence experience.

Question 17

What is still being developed?

Accepted Answer

HyLoQ is continuing to develop Civic Intelligence and additional ways to connect information across resources, communities, and public life. The roadmap reflects how these capabilities are expected to evolve.
